100 Years After His First Powered Flight
Guest Barbara Sellers, who donated artifacts of Matthew's to the Olive Hill Historical Society along with a 2-bladed propeller of Matthew's that was just recently returned to her by Mr. Larry Boggs, a former resident of Grayson and truly a great friend.
Representative Robin Webb (now State Senator) was a guest speaker along with Tony Collier, who just recently finished a documentary on Matthew.
Another guest, Lloyd Dean, Great Great Nephew of Linc Binion, Matthew's Assistant who was killed by the propeller in 1911.
Larry Carroll, who painted the wonderful painting of "Blakemore" was there.
Jim Plummer, from the Northeastern Museum of Kentucky, who brought with him four of Matthew's propellers to put on display.
Jim Phillips, of WGOH Radio, who interviewed me and numerous other press people were there.
